VICKY MCMUNN
PASTORAL AND SAFEGUARDING LEAD
Vicky brings a rare blend of calm assurance and compassionate energy to her role as Pastoral Support and Safeguarding Lead. A devoted mother of three - including a wonderfully neurodiverse child - she spends much of her time guiding families through the often-overwhelming landscape of special education, sharing her own experiences, offering practical advice, and providing empathetic coaching so parents can move forward with confidence.
An Oxford mathematics graduate, Vicky went on to inspire students as a maths teacher in both state and independent schools. Alongside her other talents, Vicky is an accomplished musician—playing bassoon with the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra and leading worship on piano each week at Trinity Church, Scarborough. She also nurtures a thriving women’s Bible study group, where her warmth and strong communication skills shine through.
With boundless enthusiasm, deep empathy, and a steadfast presence, Vicky is driven by one mission: to see every neurodiverse child celebrated, supported, and empowered to shine.
She and her husband Lee live with their three children where they pastor and lead Trinity Church, Scarborough.
Vicky and her husband Lee recently featured in the BBC Panorama programme exploring the challenges around education for neurodivergent children. If you missed it and would like to catch up, you can watch it using the link below.
