The Design Den
The Design Den
Creative minds, endless possibilities.
The Design Den is a creative, hands-on learning group where young people can explore art, design and self-expression in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Through drawing, painting, crafts, textile projects, jewellery making, model-making, digital design and even portfolio preparation for those who wish to build towards further creative study. Learners are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills while following their own interests and ideas.
The focus is on progress, confidence and connection - building friendships, discovering strengths and rediscovering the joy of learning through art, craft and textiles.
A Community-Led Initiative
We are committed to keeping our sessions accessible and inclusive. However, as an independent charity, we rely on fundraising and community support to make these programmes possible and free to attend. Without ongoing financial support, we simply cannot provide the range of services our families and children need. If you are in a position to contribute - whether through fundraising, a regular monthly or one-off donation, or offering practical help - we would be incredibly grateful. Together, we can secure a stable future for our children.
Sessions are led by qualified teachers with SEND experience and young people will be supported to experiment, develop new skills and explore their own artistic voice at a pace that feels safe and achievable.
Please note that our groups are designed for neurodivergent children excluded from school, struggling to access mainstream education successfully or are home schooled not by choice, or part of an EOTAS package.
