Small Stories, Big Voices
‘Small Stories Big Voices’ is a Havenswood creative pop-up classroom designed for neurodivergent children aged 9-16 who may be out of school, home educated, part of an EOTAS package or struggling to engage with traditional English lessons. Instead of focusing on formal classroom expectations, these sessions explore the joy of stories, imagination and self-expression. Through creative writing, reading, storytelling, spoken word and collaborative activities, children can rediscover confidence with language in a relaxed and supportive environment. Sessions are led by experienced educators who understand neurodivergent learning styles and who create a calm, encouraging space where every voice and every story matters.
Activities across the programme may include novel reading or short illustrated stories, story prompts and creative games, collaborative storytelling, drawing or visual storytelling for children who prefer non-writing expression and optional portfolio building for children who enjoy writing regularly.
