Matt brings unlimited energy and insight to his role as Education Lead on the board of Havenswood Trust.

With a career spanning continents and industries, Matt worked as a headteacher and senior leader in the UK. He has successfully founded and developed a school, championed innovative teaching practices and fostered inclusive school cultures. His passion for holistic learning also took him to New Zealand, where he led a thriving international school community – building programs that balanced academic excellence with emotional wellbeing.

Before dedicating himself to leadership coaching, Matt enjoyed a distinguished career as a professional and international football referee. That experience taught him the power of clear communication, decisive action, and maintaining composure under pressure.

Today, Matt is a respected leadership and wellbeing coach, partnering with executives, school leaders, and community organisations.

Matt lives in Malton with his wife Katie and their two sons.
