Storytellers
What's on your mind? What’s making the headlines today? Have you got a good tale to tell?
Storytellers explores fascinating stories from around the world and throughout history, helping young people develop literacy, communication and thinking skills through conversation, investigation and debate. Designed for children and teens age 9 -14 who are home educated, currently out of school or struggling to stay connected, the sessions offer a calm, supportive environment where learning through self- expression comes first.
Storytellers is a relaxed and engaging group where young people can explore current events, interesting stories, history, geography and the world around them. Through discussion, projects, media and creative activities, children will develop communication, reading, writing and critical thinking skills without the pressure of a traditional English lesson.
The focus is on process, confidence and connection - building friendships, discovering strengths and rediscovering the joy of learning through media, news, geography and history.
