We’re Officially In Review: Charity Commission Application Acknowledged

Hello everyone,

We’re delighted to share some exciting news: our application to the Charity Commission has officially been submitted, and we’ve received acknowledgment that it’s now in review. This is a significant milestone for us as we work toward becoming a registered charity, and we want to keep you – all of our supporters, volunteers, partners and friends – up to date on where things stand and what comes next.

Why This Matters

As many of you know, achieving charitable status is an important step for our organisation. Becoming a registered charity will mean our governance and purposes meet the high standards set by the Charity Commission and once approved, we’ll be able to broaden our funding base and grow our programs more quickly.

Being a registered charity also unlocks certain tax exemptions and Gift Aid for donations, allowing us to stretch every pound a little bit further. Formal recognition from the Charity Commission will also give donors, partners, and the wider community extra confidence in our mission and operations.

Securing this status is not only an important step – it’s our commitment to uphold high standards and public accountability.
