The Foxfire Cafe
For 9-15 year olds
Friendship • Belonging • Community
The Foxfire Café is Havenswood's relaxed monthly social space for neurodivergent children and young people.
Created in response to requests from the young people we already support, Foxfire Café offers a welcoming environment where children and teenagers can meet others who understand them, build friendships and enjoy spending time together without the pressures often found in traditional social settings.
Many neurodivergent young people experience loneliness, social isolation or difficulties finding places where they feel truly accepted. Foxfire Café aims to change that by providing a safe, inclusive and supportive community where everyone can be themselves.
There are no expectations to join in, perform or socialise in a particular way. Some young people may spend time chatting with friends, while others may prefer creative activities, games, building projects or simply enjoying being around others in a calm and accepting environment. Every young person is welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for them.
Sessions may include:
• Board games and tabletop activities
• Arts, crafts and creative projects
• LEGO and construction challenges
• Gaming and technology activities
• Group projects and themed events
• Quiet spaces for those who need them
• Drinks, snacks and plenty of opportunities to connect
All sessions are supported by experienced SEND staff and volunteers who understand the unique challenges many neurodivergent young people face.
At Havenswood, we believe that every child deserves a place where they feel accepted, valued and understood. Foxfire Café is more than a social group – it is a community built on kindness, compassion and belonging.
Whether you're looking to make new friends, explore new interests or simply spend time with people who understand you, Foxfire Café is a place where you can come exactly as you are.
Because everyone deserves somewhere they belong.
