John is widely regarded as one of the world’s best comedy magicians – an award-winning performer, television writer, and all-round entertainer whose talents span magic, acting, singing, and musicianship.

John first made his mark in the magic community when he won the prestigious Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year competition. In 2019, he reached a TV audience of millions as a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, where his unique blend of wit and magical mentalism captivated viewers nationwide.

John has penned scripts for a number of popular television shows, including BBC’s Not Going Out, The Impressionable John Culshaw, The Sketch Show, and Give Us a Clue on BBC One. He also wrote for, and appeared on CBBC’s Help My Supply Teacher Is Magic, a series that won a BAFTA for Entertainment thanks in no small part to John’s inventive contributions. On camera, John’s charisma shone through on the under-the-radar magic series Undercover Magic (Sky 1), and he made history on Penn & Teller: Fool Us (ITV1) by being the first magician ever to successfully fool the legendary Las Vegas magical duo.

Beyond television,  John has worked in theatres in every major UK city and taken his act to more than 45 countries around the globe. He’s also a regular performer at The Magic Castle in Hollywood, where his routines and flawless technique consistently earn standing ovations. His rare combination of comedy, music, and mind-bending mentalism has solidified his reputation as a top-tier variety artist.

We are honoured to have John as a Friend of Havenswood Trust and look forward to working with him in the future.
